For almost 500 years Catholics and other Christians too have learned to find and choose God in their daily discernment thanks to the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus.

Deacon Hilmar Pabel is a Permanent Deacon in the Archdiocese of Vancouver and a Professor of History at Simon Fraser University. He offers spiritual direction and accompaniment in the Ignatian tradition in his role as coordinator of the Courage and EnCourage apostolates in the Archdiocese. He also serves on the Archdiocesan Commission for Ecumenism and Interfaith Relations.
